Nokia’s N97 24/7 Tour kicks off

July 7th, 2009 at 6:40 pm

We’ve taken four intrepid N97 users and sent them on a road trip during which they have to use the device to do absolutely everything. On the way they’ll face challenges, meet others at three Mobile Camps around the USA (Los Angeles, San Francisco and Chicago - with a Finale Event in New York) and capture all that happens along the way.

The 4 brave souls set to take on the States are:

Andrew Currie
- Specialty: Connection

Matthew Bennett - Specialty: Content Consumption

George Kelly - Specialty: Content Creation

Jonny Bruha - Specialty: Navigation

Anybody in the areas during the time they are around, feel free to join them at the Mobile Camps or try and hook up to see how they’re getting on.

what a joke! jonny bruha does nothing but talk about what a crappy phone the n97 will be and he gets picked by nokia…i guess none of their employees read any of the n97 threads on howardforums.

Jonny has been an active and vocal member of social media spaces other than Howard Forums for some time and is a long time Nokia user. He’s opinionated and up for a challenge, and has the navigation skillset needed for this particular escapade. It is for these reasons he was selected for the N97 24/7 Tour.

At the NYC event spaces are limited and it is invite only, however those receiving tickets do have the option to take guests, so when the time comes (the event is on July 22nd) why not ask those of your online peers who get invites if you can join them?

I am surprised to see this is all boys!! I was really looking forward to getting a chick’s perspective on this device and still think it would be nice to have.
