#N97minitour Carbon Offsetting

As you might imagine, driving the #N97minitour bus across Canada creates quite the carbon footprint. However, our hive minds back at WOMWorld/Nokia base quietly told us that to truly offset the effect of our pollution, we would have to plant somewhere in the region of 350 trees. Well, 366 trees to be precise.
So we did. Simon, Andrew and Chris (ably assisted by James and Donna) got stuck in with style and four hours later, the Earth was up an extra few thousand leaves.
I took a stroll around the field and found out how they felt -
We’re nearly done over here in Canada, the N97minitour finale is our last destination.

Nice idea, but if you think planting some trees went any way towards offsetting the carbon footprint you guys left by trailing around Canada in an RV, then you are kidding yourselves. I thought Nokia was going green but clearly not.

We worked with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority who advised us on the planting of the trees. Over the life time of the 350+ trees that were planted, the carbon produced on the #N97minitour will be more than offset.
