Offshore with your N95’s GPS

May 31st, 2007 at 12:56 pm

Jonathan Greene, from the Atmaspheric|Endeavors blog, has put up an interesting video demonstrating the N95 working its GPS on board a speeding boat. Overall he was really impressed on how it handled the situation.

The GPS, along with the Sportstracker application, was as accurate as the boats built-in GPS system. Jump over to his blog to read more and comment on the little adventure.

Why can’t the N95 report position in UK with UK Grid Reference? This is whay anyone in UK would normally use to fix their position. Available with most, probably all, dedicated GPS devices. Latitude, longitude is not much use!
