N95 latest firmware is now live!

July 6th, 2007

Even more news today on firmware updates, the N95’s latest firmware update, version 12.0.013 is now available via the Nokia Software Updater. This update includes the Assisted-GPS which is hotly anticipated, and Symbian Guru talked about the other week.

So get on the software updater and get downloading, make sure you let us all know what you think, what’s new, what’s hot, anything you don’t like, and if it’s not available in your area yet.

    I tried to update the latest firmware, but it says that the last update 11….is the latest and my phone has the latest one, the Nokia update software doesn’t show the latest version of 12.0.013

    Well I saw this announcement here and did as you suggest and ran the NSU. The answer came back that I had the latest update already (Received my N95 yesterday 06 July 07) that is V11.0.026.

    So what gives? *stab*

    When I click on the Nokia Software Updater it only gives me 11.0.026

    When I run software updater for my N95 it tells me there is no available firmware update and that my current version 10.xx is latest available. Is this new one not available in Europe yet? Or am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

    i have facing paroblem on the bluetooth parts
    1-bluetooth from phone to phone working properly
    2-if i send image to desktop or laptop my nokia n95 show difference format occours and image unable to send

    Hello!

    I’ve tried to get the new firmware with the NOkia software updater, but it says that my phone is already up to date (firmware version 11.0.026). Any idea how to get this update?

    It seems some of you are unable to get the latest version right now. Keep trying, it will become available soon in your area, it is released in different areas sometimes sooner than others.

    This is a limited release upgrade. I’ve heard it will be available to all within 6 weeks or so..be patient

    Just checked (again) and it appears like many before me that the latest available firmwware is 11.0.026
    Is it dependant on your product code (0547869…?)

    C’e’ un “bug” piuttosto evidente, non fastidioso:quando il phone passa in modalita’ risparmio di energia, si accende per un attimo la spia del tasto di revisione di photo(quello laterale accanto al pulsante di scatto fotografico).
    (there is a “bug” rather evident,not annoyng: when the phone gone in saving of energy,switch on in a moment the warning light of the key of photo revision (that lateral near to photograph key).Sorry for bad Engl.

    Yes, with Nokia Software Updater, compatible operator-branded Nokia devices may also be updated with the latest software version that has been approved by the operator. Note that not all operators may have approved the latest software available.

    Perfect!!! The only problem is the update deletes the programs installed on the phone memory. This is particularly the case with Quickoffice and its complicated reinstallation: backup of both phone and card memory, reset, Quickoffice installation and restore both memories from Nokia Suite, re-enter lock code!!! Quickoffice and Nokia teams have to work all this stuff out AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

    I believe the whole story of the firmware 12.0.0.xx is just a hoax.
    THE LATEST FW released by Nokia via the NSU is 12.0.0.26 .
    I can guarantee this. I believe the only reason why websites claim to have information about new firmware versions that dont exist is just to get some attention.
    Popularity / fame is what they look for…

    Hey.
    Update went fine on my n95
    But I can’t find my themes anywhere to delete them, and most of them are now corrupt???? How do i remove them, when they are not in application manager???

    I have an O2 branded N95. NSU reported that there was no update until I changed the product ID for a generic Euro one. When I had done that, NSU reported that there was an update and I am now using v12.0.013

    Unfortunately. unlike my previous update from v10.xx to v11.xx, backup would not restore my programs and I had to reinstall virtually everything.

    Download Size: 115.2 MB…
    Updated using PC Suite v6.84.10.3… on Windows Vista…
    Time to install was the most agonising 15 min ever…
    Opera Mini and MobiReader were installed on the memory card and stayed on the phone. F-Secure didn’t…
    Time from taking backup to restore was just over an hour…!
    Ahh… Now for some annoying reason the screensaver keeps coming on every 5 seconds. That is the most annoying thing in the world…

    I think the update sucks!
    I backed up my phone-mempry on the memory-card, but none of my apps that where on the card works anymore, so I have to reinstall..

    And now I can’t get my SIP to work :(

    There mybe many bugs with the upgrade on V12….. firmware.
    The product code underneath the battery dictates the Firmware version available through the Nokia updater.
    This product code can be changed.
    Please see earlier comments on changing this code.

    has anybody having problems with firmware 12.0.013 on nokia n95 i cant access theses wap sites which i could before the update mentalwap.com and playboywap.com and cheekywap.com i keep getting kicked off the site when trying to access pm and forums what could be causing this problem?

    i have update my N95 to 12.0.013 i had a problem. when i receive a messege only the number is shown with out a name and i have already rigister all names in both phone and memory card

    Available updates are dependant on the product code of the phone, why doesn’t someone post a working product code which allows an update ????? This will then give others the CHOICE to change their product code (removes warranty) and update.

    The version 20 firmware on N95 has its shortcomings. For instance, whilst surfing, the history pages do not appear in order its surfed. One has to shuffle through the pages to set right the last page surfed.
    Even whilst one uses GPRS service, you can’t download maps onto your device directly but needs a card reader instead.
