N95

US N95-3 is a winner

October 7th, 2007 at 2:13 pm

Jonathan Greene, from Atmaspheric|Endevours, has had his hands on the US variant of the N95 and says that the device is what the N95 should have been from the start.

Vast amounts of RAM, 1200mAh battery and compatible with US 3G, it’s a device to be reckoned with. If you’re looking at buying or upgrading, this is a great, and typically honest, review of the new device. Ask questions or add your own advice in his comments section.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but after checking some sites and blogs I would say that the main difference between the N95-3 and the 8GB is that the first one runs on US 3G networks and the second doesn’t. But I still have some questions. Does anybody know the answers?
1)Is the 8GB firmware as good (updated) as the N95-3 (or the same), with more memory for apps, no more “Out of memory” error messages, faster camera start and so on?
2)Does the N95-3 run also on GPRS networks or only GSM and 3G? (there is only one 3G operator here in Brazil - unfortunatelly not mine… - and GPRS works fine for my needs)
3)Is the N95-3 screen as large as the 8GB’s? If it is, the only difference in my case (only GPRS use) would be the cover colours??? Is that so? Os is there something else?
Thanks in advance!
