Why no panoramic option on N95 camera?

In an interesting thread on Howard Forums, pachi wants to know why Nokia did not include a panoramic option in the camera of the N95. Others name different devices with that choice, or applications that might solve the problem, but if the camera had the option in the first place, pachi would not need to ask the question.

For PC there is an absolutely amazing panorama photo tool called Autostitch. One can take any number of pictures from a single spot to different directions and Autostitch makes a panoramic image out those fully automatically.

To top it off, it’s free. I’ve used similar tools from Canon and inside Photoshop, but this freeware app is miles ahead of those.
