Your Nseries Internet Tablet - always on or on demand?
November 1st, 2007
Reggie from Internet Tablet Talk follows up their first podcast by polling visitors to the site as to whether they would prefer their tablets to be ‘always on’ or ‘always available’. The difference between receiving information when the user demands or being alerted as soon as it comes in is one which is bound to cause some debate.
Jonathan Greene at Maemo Apps weighs in with his opinion on the subject, saying that he is in the ‘always on’ camp. He recently tried the ‘on demand’ option and found that whilst it saved a bit of battery, he preferred the ability to glance at his tablet and see new information, RSS feeds etc.
Add your opinion to the poll, or share your thoughts on Jonathan’s site.
