N810’s keyboard fails to impress

December 19th, 2007 at 6:31 pm

Mark Yoshimoto Nemcoff has used the N800 to write no small part of two novels while away from his computer. When he was sent an N810 to trial then, he thought the hardware keyboard would be a great step up. He was wrong…

He has found the slide-out keyboard to be far more difficult to type on than both the onscreen version on the new device, and on his trusty N800. The keys are too small, and the top row is awkward to get to as it is placed very close to the body of the device when opened.

The keyboard aside Mark has enjoyed using the N810, and is a fan of its svelte form factor as well as software updates. What are your views of the N810’s keyboard? Jump over and let Mark know.
