Flip Silent extends the accelerometer

January 7th, 2008 at 11:25 am

The major buzz over the weekend has been the appearance of Flip Silent, a nifty app from Tong Ren that has sent tongues wagging across the space. It works by utilizing the accelerometer to set your device profile to silent when turned over, and revert to the original profile when flipped back.

Vaibhav Sharma at The Symbian Blog has posted his view on the release and is impressed at the way it works with both calls and alarms.

What do you think of the app? Have you given it a test run? Jump over to join the discussion.

Tested this early this morning, after having received the first version. Does not work flawless (actually kills the call) but for a first step… he is ahead of Samir for now.

The more people testdrive this app and give him feedback, the sooner this will become a must-have application!
