Keeping everything in sync
January 11th, 2008
Vaibhav Sharma at The Symbian Blog has written a great post on the subject of ’seamlessness’. At first glance, this may not seem a subject close to an Nseries fan’s heart - unless you’ve ever had to switch handsets regularly…
On trialling the N81, Vaibhav tested a utility built into recent Nseries devices called ‘Switch’. This essentially allows you to send contacts, calendar entries, notes and so on to another device without the aid of a computer. Very useful, and it works very swiftly. Switch will even send messages to your new device so you’ll never lose a funny/important/ego-boosting message again. Vaibhav managed to get everything off his N95 in under 10minutes, the only complaint being that moving media, for obvious reasons of size, is not as simple.
There are also some very positive comments on the post, so jump over to see them and leave your own.
