N96 hands-on and battery life

February 18th, 2008

Mark Guim at The Nokia Blog has covered the N96 from all angles, quite literally, with some great shots of the device exterior.

He likes the front of the device, thinking it looks good, though is not so keen on the reverse of the N96. Mark has also covered the concerns of many users, over the 950mah battery which caused certain issues for users on the N95. With more power in the N96, Mark hopes this will not remain a problem, and has posted a video of a discussion with the N96 product manager in which he tries to allay these fears.

Unlike nokia phones introduced till around 5 years before the generation phones are not long lasting. Is it to improve sales of new models?

The battery life on the N96 completely sucks! I really loved Nokia phones until my last purchase of the N96. It dies overnight even if all the applications are closed. I really regret my decision to purchase this phone. Very very disappointed.
