N800 and N810 get blogging and podcasting

March 11th, 2008 at 2:36 pm

Aral Balkan has written on his blog Confessions of an Internet Junkie in support of the N800 as a video blogging tool.

He reckons it is perfect for recording vlogs on the go with its small size, built in camera and microphone and support of Flash 9 in the browser making it a cinch to set up and operate. Or at least it would be perfect, if Flash 9 for Linux supported the built in camera on the N800. He thinks it is a shame that N800 users cannot take advantage of services such as Seesmic at present. Elsewhere, Thoughtfix at Tabletblog has picked up on comments made in the popular TWiT podcast (This Week in Tech). They seem to want a device that combines open source software, expandable storage, an Internet connection plus a microphone and speakers but can’t find one. Thoughtfix suggest the N8×0 series of Internet Tablet might fit the bill… Jump over to leave a comment.

Has anyone had a problem with the N800 audio jack? Mine won’t work in stereo unless I pull it out halfway and move it around. Sent it back to Nokia and they sent it back the same day not fixed and no message. Nokia customer service is horrible. Waiting for a return label to try again. Even that has taken two weeks and still no label. Any similar experiences?
