Browsers in harmony – a beautiful thing

April 16th, 2008 at 5:53 pm

Dotsisx over at Symbian Guru has been having a little ‘browser off’ between Opera Mini and the built-in S60 option. Her conclusion may surprise some.

Having been an ‘unconditional fan’ of the S60 browser, Dotsisx recently had cause to try and use Opera Mini on her N95 for a problem she had with a database site. By using the best features of both browsers, she was able to get to the page she wanted. The in-built browser had a search option, but not the ability to reach a certain place on the site, whilst the Opera Mini could reach the button, but didn’t have the search option.

So what browser works best for you? Is there an option that you’ve found that could do it all? These problems cause issues in regular usage? Jump over to leave a comment for Dotsisx.
