External GPS module for Nokia

Matthew Stevens, writing on Mobile Diva Darla Mack’s site, has shared his thoughts on the external GPS units from Nokia, the LD-3W and LD-4W .

He says that far from being a battery drain (like the in-built GPS in the N95), or failing to get a signal (N810 users, you know what I’m talking about here), the external units might be ‘just what you’re looking for’. Getting up to 11 hours continuous tracking, or a whole week in standby, from a single charge, the LD- 4W can ‘drastically’ improve your GPS experience. From finding a lock in 30 seconds from a cold start to ‘seamlessly’ pairing via Bluetooth, Matthew reckons that an external module should be on everyone’s shopping list.
