Profile management – what’s the best option?

Amir over at Mobile Space brings us a tutorial of how to get the most out of quite an ignored area of our devices – the profile settings.

He reckons we rely too much on ‘default and tailor-made’ profiles when we could be doing much more with apps such as Handy Profiles and Best Profiles. Both of these apps give you a tabbed sheet of available profiles for easy switching. These can be set to switch automatically according to a rule (for example, if no activity for 15 minutes, switch to Silent). Amir opts for one over the other due to the advanced settings, but to reveal which wouldn’t be fair.
