N810 – laptop killer?

May 12th, 2008 at 12:34 pm

Norman John from Symbian World poses a question that has crossed the mind of many a NIT user – can the N810 replace a laptop?

He created a list of things he does every day on his laptop and then applied it to the N810. His emails are accessible via the built in client, which can be set to check for new messages at certain intervals. RSS feeds and web surfing are no problem, as the N810 is ‘focused on the internet’. The music player isn’t the best, but ‘does its job’ and installing apps allows you to enable MSN and Wordpress to allow instant messaging and blogging. The verdict is…well, we wouldn’t spoil that for you.

Do you agree with Norman John having read the article? Have you replaced your laptop? Is there anything key the N810 cannot do? Jump over and have your say.

Having tried the N810 too, I do not agree on the RSS part, the browser “lags” too much
