N81 8GB – gamers’ dream
May 12th, 2008
neoncherry, on her Nokia Duck pages, brings us her take on the N81 8GB, accompanied by a video showing every aspect of this device that has been around for a while and is well bedded down in our consciousness.
From the form factor that looks a ‘bit bulky’ but is actually a ‘reasonable size’, to the flat keypad that is ‘fairly comfortable’ to use. The naviwheel gets a bit of a hammering, as it ‘wasn’t sensitive enough’ and neoncherry kept it switched off most of the time. Also up for criticism is the ‘disappointing’ 2MP camera, adequate for casual use, but neoncherry believes the price should drop to reflect this. The N-Gage platform gets the thumbs up, a ‘great improvement on the old’ version with ‘gorgeous’ titles such as Creatures of the Deep. She concludes by saying the device would suit someone who enjoys ‘gaming and music’, as they ‘may get a lot out of’ the model.
What do you think? Can the N81 8GB still cut it? Head over to neoncherry’s site and have your say.
