Nokia S60 browser can learn from Opera Mini

May 15th, 2008 at 12:00 pm

Mark Guim over at The Nokia Blog has a suggestion for Nokia regarding the S60 browser.

He’s has created a video showing the extra button presses needed on the N95 8GB browser simply to input the .com of a URL. Borrowing from Opera Mini, Mark suggests that an auto complete option should be included. With a clear example, he shows the Opera Mini drop down that appears whenever the ‘dot’ of .com is entered. He also makes passing mention of the .com button on the iPhone. Learnings here for Nokia and hopefully heed will be paid in the next update to the browser.

Would this improvement make your life easier? Can you think of anything else that would improve your browser experience? Jump over and let Mark know.
