Nokia Maps – out of beta

May 23rd, 2008 at 5:18 pm

There is comment aplenty about the news that Nokia Maps is out of beta, and to celebrate the fact, Nokia have launched a fun new site, The Mapsters.

Jack from Experience Mobility lists the improvements made to the service under the headings Drive, Walk and Discover (just like Nokia). The updated ‘easy-to-use’ interface has a new navigation carousel, whilst the pedestrian navigation ‘efficiently walks you from A to B’. Teo at Symbian Freak has similar information and makes note of the fact that the new version is available here.

Meanwhile Neil at iGadgetLife has posted about The Mapsters, the new site that allows you to control characters across a map of Tokyo, Paris or London. Mark Guim from The Nokia Blog also brings us a video of him taking control of one of these little fellas, which you can check out.

Has Nokia Maps made your life easier? Have you got any questions about the updated service? Jump through any of the links to ask the guys your questions or leave your comments.
