S60 VoIP clients

June 9th, 2008

Antony Pranata from the S60Tips.com site has posted an update to his year-old article on VoIP apps.

He lists Gizmo as ‘one of the most popular’, but recommends the native version over the Java app. Truphone ‘used’ to be his favourite due to its ability to switch between networks seamlessly, but his allegiances have shifted. EQO, he says, uses the cellular network to route calls, and also supports IM clients. Skype, fring and Yeigo also get a look in, but Antony can’t recommend any one VoIP over another. He says it all depends on what you as a user are looking for, as all of the clients utilise different aspects to make them ‘unique’.

Which VoIP is your favourite? Which would you like to see explored further by Antony? Jump over and let him know.
