E90 gets a physical

June 9th, 2008

Mark Guim from The Nokia Blog has had his hands on an E90, and brings us the first of his written reviews following on from his earlier video post, this one focussing on the physical aspects of the device.

Despite its size, Mark says the device feels ‘good to hold in the hands’, yet he can’t get away from the size of it. On the outside, Mark talks us through the screen and the ‘perfect tactile feedback’ of the keypad. He hates the camera button, however, saying that the half-way hold for auto-focus is ‘hit or miss’ and this button ‘ruins’ the experience of taking a photograph. His feelings on the internal keyboard are mixed; part of him thinks it is too big, the other part thinks having buttons like Shift and CTRL make the device seem more like a laptop. He concludes that the device is great for those who are looking for a mini-laptop, but might be too big for those looking for a more simple device.

What are your thoughts on the device? What do you want to see Mark explore in the next post? Head over and share your thoughts.
