I have purchased E71 few days back,As far as phone is cocerned it is very good,The only big downside is its camera performance which is very worst,The images are grainy,I heard E66 is also having same camera but performance is good,I hope Nokia people will improve the firmware to rectify the problem.otherwise disappointment.

Does the E71 have a soft-key option on the RH key for Loudspeaker/Handset like the original E61 or is it like the E61i which, surprisingly, used a Mute/Unmute on thtat key instead.

price of E71 is aprx 20000/Rs. loud speaker option is available during connected state with the Rt soft key.
Its browser is great and gives good navigation in the banking sites except Kotak bank which does not allow any browser other than Int Explorer 6 onwards

i tried to download themes on the E71 but after installing it says: CERTIFICATE ERROR, PLS CONTACT APPLICATION SUPPLIER”
can someone pls tell me what to do or where have i gone wrong. i was installing thru bluetooth in my PC

well… now its mine —a few days ago ..i got my E71 and its great …
this smartphone is only for adult`s made..so dont compare with n-series or other ….

and to install themes like these one(viral)^^

you have to navigate to systemsettings -programs than open the programmanager(idont know how if the description in english is the same -corse i only have the german vers.)
and deaktivate the option
“only install certified”

dosnt matter ..bluetooth or usb ..it always works

thats the way it should work…

Viral/ Abhinav try a simple thing. Just before you load the theme change the date of your phone. make it go back by a year (in place of 2008 just add 2007). load the theme and once the theme is loaded, rechange the date.

I dont no what is a problem in E71, i am purchesd E71 are one months but my experionce is so exelent, E71 camara, size,internet speed,navigation, all featre are very good and its work perfectly.
in short E71 is a new solder in nokia regiement.

I’ve purchased e71 a month ago from a store at bangalore;the phone is an exellent business gadget:the gps feature, voip support,and the multimedia features;the problem i encountered was the phone restarts every time or hangs up when i press the phone book more than once .
also i am worried about the anti virus…anybody pls suggest a good anti virus and any solutions for the phone’s hangup issue..

I thought my search for a perfect mobile had ended. I am satisfied with the features which are superb. There is one thing lacking is the “email alert”. Though I have activated the GPRS & have configured my yahoo & gmail accounts the inbox does not update automatically. I had this amazing feature in my previous mobile. I am a NOKIA fan I have lots of praises for the mobile.

I am SonyEr user . I have purchased nokia E71 but facing problem that if I want to search some name in the phonebook by typing first letter of first word than it searches that letter in whole phone book & give too many results including all names which contains that letter but I wnat only those which starts with that letter. I am irritated with this, can someone give me solution or I will sell it backi.

the phone is excellent I luv it . But I think the camera quality is not as good as sum of Sony Er phones. A phone with so many good features has this major drawback. The camera quality should b improved in the upcoming models. We expected a lot more from nokia

E 71 is good business phone with Email & browsing facility. Problem areas are :
Camera : Grains & quality of picture is problem.

Problem in downloading : every time downloading ends up with a error message. is it with me only. Please advise.

I purchased an E71 last week and I am really pleased with this phone. It is a business phone and we should not compare it with an N series phone. Scheduling, GPS, WLAN, Emails are marvellous features. If you have E71 you should try to use all of its functions. I had been a Sony Ericson user and thought this time I will buy an E71.

I love the phone but the text size is small in sms and email even with large selected. Does anyone know how this can be made larger?? It is big with 2 line selected but the actual email is small.

i have booked an NOKIA E-71, just finding out that i have made the right decision or not, but as i read the comments on this site, i found that everybody here has some other probelem and the other is ok with the same one.
I think i have made the right choice by booking the NOKIA E71 but i found the common problem is the camera quality and the themes downloading problem.
i am a guy who likes to find out how to solve the problems. will be right back with my suggestions when i have a cell in my hand and have an experience. well, one suggestion for u all now. Try solving the problem u all have from nokia.com.
I FOUND THAT THERE ARE ANSWERS FOR UR QUESTIONS IN NOKIA.COM, THE SECOND SEARCH IN GOOGLE.CO.IN IS HELPFUL,

To unlock the phone, press top leftside button (its blue color ‘-’) and immediately press botton leftside conrner button (its below z)

Hi

i have had the e 71 for 2 month the phone works like a charm, guys dont download any themes last time i downloaded a theme to my n 70 it reduced my font size. i have not been able to increase the font size. the camera is not great but guys you dont need a camera in a buisness phone in any case the buisness card reader works well with the phone. if you do want to download games and themes check out “mobile9.com”
