Nokia 500 Auto Navigation unit

July 9th, 2008 at 12:57 pm

jamespowell1989 from Talk About Nseries has posted about the Nokia 500 Auto Navigation unit that he has got his hands on.

In the unboxing and initial thoughts post, James says that he is ‘curious’ to see how the Nokia unit fares against other modules available on the market. Straight out of the box, he says the device looks ‘very smart’ and likes the 4.3” screen, which is ‘bright and crisp’ and remains readable in bright sunlight. He mentions that the keys are backlit in dark conditions by a ‘clear white light’, which helps when driving/walking in the gloom. So far, James is ‘very impressed’ with the unit’s ‘very easy to use’ UI and the ‘easy to understand’ instructions.

Have you taken the Nokia 500 for a test drive yet? How do you think it compares to other navigation units? Head over and share your thinking with James.
