Nokia TV-Out – how can it be better

July 10th, 2008 at 3:29 pm

At the newly-designed Nokia Guide, Devin Balentina has posted about how he’d like to see the TV-out function of Nokia devices improve.

Devin says he can’t work out why ‘the features have basically stayed the same ever since it was introduced’. He says the TV-out system is now ‘dated’(despite being included in the N95, N96 and N82) and provides a list of ways in which it could be improved. The first item on this list is to have a higher resolution output to match the newly updated technology of LCD and plasma screens, so the picture quality now matches what is available digitally. Devin also suggests that the TV-out has an ‘exact screen output’, so a true representation of what is on the device is seen on the screen.

Have you had any thoughts on how to get a better TV-out signal? What could Nokia do to make things better? Get over to Devin’s page and share your opinions.
