N810 – ‘very attractive’

On the PhoneReport pages, Meraj Chhaya has been putting an N810 through its paces and has produced an extensive post.

Starting – quite sensibly in our opinion – with some unboxing pics and info, he says that it ‘feels just right’ in the hand. The screen gets the once over next, with Meraj reporting that the 800×480 resolution gives ‘fantastic image quality’, but is ‘disappointing’ in bright sunlight. The buttons on the top of the device are ‘small and…difficult to press’, and would have been better placed on the front of the device. Meraj reckons that to operate the N810 with one hand isn’t possible as a user needs one hand to hold and one to use the device. The keypad is ‘well constructed’ and gives ‘good feedback’ but is missing a navi-wheel.

Meraj has mixed thoughts then, but what do you think of the device? Is there anything wrong which you want to see put right? Why not get over and let Meraj know?

  I think… we need the WiMAX version of it in the United States… perpetual announcements of it are starting to become a problem.

  Nobody wants to buy an N810 over here right now, since everyone is waiting on the WiMAX version.
