N82 – a critical view

July 14th, 2008 at 12:18 pm

Dr. Anirudh Sharma from The S60 Blog has had his hands on a Nokia N82 and brings us his ‘critic’s’ thoughts on the device.

He starts off by calling the device ‘blocky’ with a ‘thick cross section’ which would put off customers looking for a ‘classy’ device. When he gets to the meat of the matter, though, the important stuff, Dr. Anirudh reckons the camera in the N82 is ‘the best picture quality’ he’s ever seen and it should ‘silence all the flaws’ the device has. These flaws, I presume, are the looks of the handset and the keypad, which is the ‘worst part’ of the N82 as the ‘keys are stacked on top of one another as if they were coins’. He runs through a number of other plusses and minuses, including the Micro SD Card (positive) and the PC Sync (not so). He concludes by saying the N82 has the ‘best camera’ he has seen in a device, and he reckons it would be a ‘good buy’.

All in all a fairly balanced review, but what do you think after reading it? Is there anything you would like to see reviewed in more detail in the next instalment? Head over to the site and leave a comment.
