Why choose the E71?

Field Commander Wieers (my favorite blog name in a long time) editor dag has got his hands on an E71, and brings us his reasoning for choosing this device over an iPhone.

He had a list of requirements for his new device; including a full keyboard (physical, not on-screen), WiFi, USB and Bluetooth. All this in a handset that would fit in his pocket. He looked at others – the E61i was ‘lacking features’ and the E90 was ‘simply too big’. Open source Symbian programming also was a ‘welcome surprise’ for dag, although he was ‘disappointed’ at the availability of the software. He was ‘pleasantly surprised’ this time at how well the keyboard worked, saying that the raised keys made input ‘very reliable’. He says that this is one of the ‘more important’ reasons for choosing the Eseries over the iPhone. Nokia wins another fan, then, with superior technology.
