Collected E71 thoughts

Martin Lim from The Nokia Guide and Matthew Miller, Mobile Gadgeteer, have both had their hands on an E71 and have both posted their thoughts on how they got along with it.
Martin calls the device ‘enterpriselicious’ and praises the ‘exceptional’ build quality, the textured metal back that gives a ‘surprising amount of grip’ and a layout that’s ‘the closest thing to perfect’ he has seen from Nokia. The keys work really well, with the rounded shape exuding a feeling of ‘quality’. Martin is disappointed with the 2.5mm jack, and the 3.2MP camera has a ‘noisy sensor and poor dynamic range’. That said, he’s impressed with the device overall, especially its size and speed.
Skipping straight to Matthew’s Initial Thoughts section, he says that after a few hours with the E71, it would be his ‘preferred choice’ over the iPhone for his usage needs. He’s ‘excited about the prospects for this device’, and can’t wait to see how the ‘huge’ 1500mAh battery lasts given his usage. He reckons the device is ‘quite snappy’ and performs to a high level expected of a top of the range product. Along with the ‘excellent’ quality, he thinks this will be ‘one tough device to beat’.
What are your impressions of the E71? Do you agree with Matthew and Martin? What would you like to see explored in more detail? Jump over to either site and let the guys know what you think.
