E66 calendar video walkthrough

On the Symbian Guru pages, Dotsisx has brought us a video walkthrough of the new calendar function of the E66.

The new design allows for the day’s activities to appear at the bottom of the screen, so clicking is now no longer necessary. In the day view, entering information is easier and the display is ‘more convenient’, allowing the user to see more at once. Unfortunately, the function does not yet sync up with Nokia Maps to show location information, but this is maybe one for the next generation of calendar. The ‘current clutter’ has been replaced with ‘nicely organized’ views for month, day, week etc, and the text has been replaced by icons – a bit disconcerting for a first time user, but easily learned. Overall impressions are that the functionality has been increased by being tidied, and the whole thing is easier on the eye.
