E66 as a gaming device?
July 17th, 2008
Continuing her exploration of the E66 over at Symbian Guru, Dotsisx has found that the device is ‘surprisingly good’ as a gaming handset.
Indeed, she goes as far as to say it was her ‘best overall gaming experience on any handset so far’. Dotsisx says the device has better weight distribution than the N95 8GB, and her hands gripped it ‘comfortably’. The battery lasts as long as the N82, allowing her to play for an hour without worrying about whether the device will last the rest of the day (in her subjective opinion). The device has a good keypad and ‘definitely the best D-pad [she’s] ever encountered’.
In a separate post, Dotsisx takes a look at the E66 home screen and the two improvements that have been made since the last Eseries release. A contact search has now been implemented that does its job ‘rather well’ and the new missed call / voice mail notification is one of the ‘most convenient implementations’ see so far.
Have you had an E66 in your hands? Do you agree with Dotsisx when she talks of the gaming prowess of the device? Anything disappointed you about the new home screen? Jump over to either post and have your say.
