6220 Classic – the rights and the wrongs

On Talk N Phone, rubbi widiantoro has reviewed the 6220 Classic and thinks it is a ‘fairly bland’ looking handset.

Despite this, it has ‘excellent’ build quality, and rubbi reckons the 6220 has ‘ticked plenty of boxes’ in the usability stakes. The ‘run-of-the-mill’ appearance hides a plethora of goodies, in particular the layout of the controls and the ‘large, comfortable keypad’. Rubbi goes as far as to say that the ‘refreshed’ S60 OS is ‘a breeze’ to use, though the device is only given a ‘touch of class’ by the glossy black finish. On that note, the guys at Camera and Handphone Review have come up with a list of improvements that the 6220 would benefit from. Included in the eight points is the fact that the camera’s shutter sound can’t be turned off, and the ‘fragile’ lens protector should be more sturdy.
