Nokia 6220 – can you trust this review?

July 22nd, 2008 at 12:05 pm

Sandra Vogel, writing on Trusted Reviews, has posted a five page review on the Nokia 6220 Classic, and has elicited some vitriol in the comment stream.

The review itself holds out that the 6220 doesn’t have much going for it looks-wise, being ‘dull’ and ‘pretty standard’. That said, Sandra reckons the 5MP camera packs a ‘huge punch’, but WiFi is missing, which is a negative (obviously). The design of the handset is described as ‘inoffensive’ – ‘nothing too elegant, nothing outstanding’. The review goes on to cover a walk round the device and the camera (including some test shots), but the commenters appear to have missed these pages – A.N.Other reckons the review wasn’t very well informed and didn’t contain much effort (harsh, Ed) and Gizzo Freko wanted to know more detail about the ‘speed’ of the device. Mark Walton provides the only balanced comment, saying that for his usage, he doesn’t need WiFi and friends with N95 have been ‘impressed’ with the features of the 6220.

What do you think of the handset? Is there anything you’d have liked to see Sandra cover in more detail? Do you agree with any of the comments? Head over and air your views.
