E66 – your questions answered

July 23rd, 2008 at 12:34 pm

On the Symbian Guru pages, Dotsisx has posted a piece which contains the answers to the questions her readers asked when the E66 was first released.

Aatif asks how fast it is possible to type on the keypad and how the dictionary performs. The reply is that the keypad is ‘one of the best’ and the T9 performs like any other Nokia device. Tim Salmon was keen to know the exact dimensions of the device when the slider was open, and as far as Dotsisx could tell him, it was about 13cm – ‘slightly shorter than the N95…yet when closed…the E66 is taller’. Speed was top of Cheung Yuen Wong’s mind, as the questions were about the device slowing down with multiple apps running. The reply came from Dotsisx that the E66 handled everything she ‘threw at it’, and it was ‘snappy around the menus’, making a welcome change from the ‘dead slow’ E65 and E61i.

There’s plenty more where that came from, so head over and read the answers and the comments, then add you own if there’s anything you’re still not sure about. This makes a great read for someone trying to decide which Eseries device to choose, or is new to the S60 arena.
