Multimedia on the N810 – underused?

July 24th, 2008 at 12:20 pm

Meraj Chhaya has been taking a look at what the N810 can do, and reports on Phone Report that the Maemo team might be missing a trick or two.

He reckons the ‘eye-candy’ that drips from Apple products is ‘totally missing’ from the N810, but the functionality is still there. The tablet plays videos in almost every format at ‘crisp quality’ on the ‘crystal-clear widescreen’, and he reckons that using Canola2 (one of the ‘most attractive’ programs of its kind) makes organising media files simple and easy. Meraj goes as far as to say the Maemo and Canola teams should get together, as the ‘clean and futuristic’ look of Canola would make a great GUI.

What do you think to this suggestion? Has Meraj hit pay dirt? What about his thoughts on the multimedia aspects of the device? Head over and let him know what you think.
