N810 – top 8 killer apps

July 25th, 2008 at 1:37 pm

Matthew Stevens, writing on The Nokia Blog, has posted about the top 8 apps that he has installed on the N810, and reckons they service all his needs quite well, thank you very much.

Having first of all ensured that he was upgraded to Diablo, Matthew set about creating his ultimate apps list. First up is the ‘best and most powerful’ email client for Maemo (according to Matthew) Claws Mail. Next on his list is Pidgin which handles all his IM needs, having as it does support for ‘nearly every IM network known to man’. Others of his favourites include Mauku – a ‘must for Jaiku users’ – and Xournal – which Matthew contends ‘truly is a pen and paper replacement’. Getting your device set up just how you want it is an important factor in your user experience, so Matthew has clearly dedicated a lot of time to finding out what works best for him and prioritising the installation whenever he gets a new toy.

He has asked for your favourites, though, so hop over if you think you have found the killer app to improve his and other peoples’ lives.
