6220 Classic has ‘oodles of functionality’
July 28th, 2008
Pathik Shah, over at Digit Geek, has posted a review of the 6220 Classic and reckons it’s the ‘latest stud from Nokia’s stable’.
The review covers looks (not pretty but ‘not downright ugly’), build quality (keyboard a ‘bit plasticky’, but ‘slim and light’) and screen real estate (‘rather small’). The keypad isn’t ‘the best to work with’, and Pathik reckons Nokia could ‘definitely have done it a lot better’. That said, the blue backlight looks ‘quite attractive’. The UI seems a ‘bit laggy’ around menus due to the fancy transitions of FP2 (Pathik says this should be fixed by a future firmware update), and web browsing is ‘a pleasure’. Multimedia-wise, video playback is ‘simply awesome’ on the 16 million colour screen and there have been some ‘serious performance improvements’ to the gallery app. The final seal of approval comes with the assertion that the 5MP camera makes this the ‘one of the best’ handsets for taking pictures.
Pathik reckons this is a ‘great’ handset if you can live without WiFi, but do you agree? Have you had your hands on a 6220 and can find something different to say about it? Head over to Pathik’s site and have your say.
