E66 battery - ‘really strong’

August 4th, 2008

Norman John from Symbian World has carried out a battery test on the E66 leaving it running and carrying out his normal business, to see just how strong it really is.

The answer is, perhaps surprisingly, that the battery lasted for two and a half days from full to empty. That is some going for a device, but maybe Nokia has got the business battery nailed down once and for all with the 1000mAh unit in this device. The batterylog he’s posted shows his exact usage over the period, and included checking email via WiFi, calls, listening to music and using the GPS. He concludes by saying that the ‘more or less hard’ usage proves that this battery ‘fits really well’ into the business/multimedia concept of the device.

Have you had a similar experience with the E66? Can you get 2 ½ days out of your device? Head over and leave a comment letting Norman John know what you think of the battery in this device.

No WAY!! The battery life of E66 does not meet any of the average usage expectation. It only last for 12 hours of stand by plus talk time - you HAVE to charge it daily and conserve your talk time on the phone.

I used the 3G network and did not use any of the Web Browsing, 3G video call, WLAN or any of the fancy functions. My talk time is about 60 mins.

NO WAY, the battery life sucks, I only use it for normall calls on our 3g network (NO WIFI o Video Calls, or GPS, or music), today I talked for less than 60 minutes without doing anything else and it hardly could last to the end of the day ( now its 11 PM and I have only one bar on the phone) !!!

I am going to sell it and buy E71, my frind says it last or 2 to 3 days depending on usage.
