N78 - a ’stunning deal’

August 4th, 2008

d@xz Potter writes on his blog about the experience of switching to an N78 from the N95.

He says that the ‘initial’ excitement at making the switch was like turning to a luxury car, and that the OS of the older Nseries feels like ‘a hurried pack up of some features lying around’. The build quality gets the thumbs up, as the ‘flush body gives a really expensive feel to the device’, and the FM transmitter is a ‘boon’. There are a few niggles, principally the keypad, and the ‘silly buttons’ – which when compared to the N95 eventually become ‘tiresome’. The lack of a pencil button is also decried, and is described as being like ‘life without music’.

What are your thoughts on this device? Is there anything you’d like to see covered in more detail? Jump over and let d@xz know your thoughts.
