More music on your N82

August 7th, 2008

xtream from Nokia N82 Blog has posted about squeezing the most out of your N82 by ‘cramming’ it full of tunes.

By using an 8GB memory card, xtream can fit 1500 songs at 128kps in MP3 format. There is another way, however, and that is the eAAC+ (.m4a) file extension, allowing you to fit your ‘entire library’ on an 8GB card when you’re out and about. Quoting All About Symbian, xtream says that a music library normally taking up 26GB of disk space on a PC will only consume 4.65GB at the new compression in .m4a format. Crafty tip, and a great one for someone using the device as their primary music playing source and who might need that extra bit of memory space.

Do you struggle to fit all your tunes on your N82? Will this revolutionise the amount of music you carry round with you? Head over and let xtream know what this means to you, or if you need to know any more details.
