6220 Classic Bluetooth speed
August 14th, 2008 at 10:59 am
Mark Guim from The Nokia Blog has been transferring data from his 6220 Classic, with a surprising result.
He noticed that the handset was marginally quicker than his N95 8GB, the daddy of the Nseries, and supposedly a world beater. So how is this possible? Well Mark says the Bluetooth transfer speeds are capped at different rates – 100 KB/s for the N95, and 135 KB/s for the new boy 6220. Another reason is possibly the 3.2 version of S60 on the newer handset, as opposed to 3.1 on the Nseries. Whatever the reason, he’s happy that Bluetooth transfer speeds are on the up.
Have you found similar results? Got any tips for speedy Bluetooth transfer? Head over and let Mark know.
