N82 final thoughts
August 15th, 2008
Wrapping up the time he’s spent with the N82, Jaganath – the Digital Rover – has posted with his final thoughts.
Describing it as a ‘feature packed’ device, he highlights the camera as being the main selling point of the handset, saying that it could well replace a stand alone digital camera before long. By listing the pros and cons of the device (tiny keys, on board GPS, excellent camera) he hopes to make it easy for prospective owners to make a decision, and gives reasons why each group of users should select the N82.
Have you got an N82? What do you think of it as a device? Can you add to what Jaganath has to say? Share your thoughts by leaving him a comment.

I’ve had the N82 for about 6 months now. The interface is pretty standard and what you’ve come to expect from the N-series. It still has the issue of being awkward to work with compared to other high-end phones from Sony Ericsson and the Iphone. But my major complaint is from the design. The keys are hard to press, the navigational buttons are incredibly awkward and hard to use and the media button is as useless as a button could get. Very good camera and quality though and the phone’s power is a huge plus. all in all, it’s a good phone but if you’re into sending many SMS or Emails or playing around with your phone menus and settings a lot, take into account the very bad key design.

N82 is the best phone I ever had. Now I don’t have to carry several gadgets to perform my job as an engineer. The camera is superb for project documentation, GPS is a great tool to identify approximate location for proposed projects, and most of all its equiped with wifi for easy data communication.

Best phone. The best 5 megapix camera, 2gig external mcard which is enough for your sounds. GPS maps, lots of applications from Nokia website plus N-gage games.
