Nokia Maps – the lowdown
August 18th, 2008 at 3:24 pm
Dr Anirudh Sharma has taken a long look at Nokia Maps and GPS, and has brought us his thoughts over on the S60 Blog.
He walks his readers through the process of using Maps, from start up to final verdict, including some helpful screen shots. He reckons that the GPS lock varied in its speed, and the voice guidance is a ‘hit and miss’ affair, but it is ‘pretty good’ considering that it is an early effort. He is satisfied with the service, although he thinks it is a bit expensive and the lack of road names in voice mode is a disappointment, and gives it a ‘big thumbs up’.
What do you think of the Nokia Maps service? Has it rescued you when you’ve been in a bind? Head over and let Anirudh know what you think.
