N95 8GB vs. N96
August 20th, 2008 at 2:19 pm
With the imminent release of the N96, Aditi Tuteja from the Real Geek blog has posted a comparison between it and the N95 8GB.
Aditi starts out by calling the N96 a ‘slicker, stronger update’ to the older device, and goes on to justify why he thinks so. The 5MP Carl Zeiss camera is the same as the N95 8GB, but the 16GB of storage is an improvement. Aditi says that the slider hinge is ‘really well implemented’, and the device has fast responses. ‘Definitely’ an upgrade is the verdict, and one which holds ‘plenty of improvements’ – but the supposed poor battery life is given but a brief mention.
Will you be ‘upgrading’? What are your thoughts on the N96? Jump over and let Aditi know what you think of the device.

after using both the n95 and n95 8gb for a long time. The n96 is a big dissapointment. Have many people who have been giving comments realised that the n96 only has 40 meg of ram after boot up. N95 8gb has more than twice the free ram. The n96 also says memory full one too many times. Just after opening the web and a few more apps. Also it is a lot slower than the 8gb. Yes its got a better slide mechanism thats about all. A true shame to what should have been the best of the best
