N81

N81 and N-Gage reviewed

August 22nd, 2008 at 11:58 am

Dario Soltani from SimplySymbian has had the pleasure of having an N81 in his hands, along with a few N-Gage titles, and brings us his thoughts.

He asks whether the device matches up to a gamer’s ideals – and finds it comes up a little short. There are issues with button placement and stiffness, and the crowded pad makes it easy to make a wrong press. That said, there are a ‘few really good ideas’ incorporated into the device – including the dedicated gaming buttons and 3D accelerated graphics. A mixed bag from Dario, but the overriding sentiment is positive.

Are you a gaming N81 owner? What do you think of the device? Jump over and let Dario know.
