Nokia build quality

August 26th, 2008 at 11:09 am

Vaibhav Sharma from the Symbian Blog has posted a cautionary note to Nokia warning them to pay attention to their build quality.

Recent experiences of both him and his friends have ‘shattered’ his previously held beliefs that Eseries build quality is better than the Nseries. He takes the example of the E90 which he recently got his hands on, which within a week became very creaky, the D-Pad looked ‘battered’ – and the inner screen of his friends’ both broke within a week. An N82 had a dead pixel straight out of the box, which ‘grew’ over the next few days, requiring a new screen.

Have you had issues like this? Is your device solid as a rock? Jump over, let Vaibhav know what you think, and join the extensive comment stream.

I just got my n82 about a week ago. Yeah it had a dead pixel smack in the middle of the screen, fortunately or unfortunately it isn’t getting bigger. I don’t know Nokia’s dead pixel policy.
