N810 and Diablo – 3 degrees of happiness

September 22nd, 2008

Titanas has posted on the Pestaola pages about the latest developments concerning Diablo and OTA (Over The Air) updates for the N810.

Whenever the tablet is connected to the internet (wirelessly or otherwise), it will now automatically check if there are updates available, and a ‘cute’ icon will alert the user if there is something to action. With clear screen shots, Titanas walks readers through the process of installing an update which is ‘smart, simple and elegant’.

Are you a fan of OTA updates? Have they made your life considerably easier? Head over and share your thoughts with Titanas.

When I purchased my N810 there was no OTA and I had to flash Diablo to get at the latest features. A daunting task if I hadn’t been a software developer since 1964. I purchased the N810 because it’s open source and Linux. OTA not only brings ease to the process but gives all N810 users the full advantages of open source and the constant improvement not part of the proprietary software world.
