6220 build quality – ‘solid’

September 23rd, 2008 at 12:42 pm

Over at Symbian Guru, the man himself has posted his thoughts about the construction of the 6220 Classic, and his opinions seem to counter most posts that have been reported on these pages to date.

Others have written about the ‘plasticky’ handset that felt ‘cheap’, but The Guru thinks the ‘lightweight’ feel and fingerprint resistant finish could be a winner. The D-pad gets the thumbs up for its ‘well-defined clicks’ and raised edge, but the S60 menu and clear buttons are a bit too easy to press by mistake. The ‘solid’ feel wins out though, and he’s impressed by the handset.

Do you agree with The Guru? Does the 6220’s build quality stand up to scrutiny in your eyes? Jump over and let him know what you think.
