S60 101 – installing apps on your N95

October 10th, 2008

For those new to S60 (not necessarily just the N95), who have just got their hands on a device or haven’t done anything to theirs since they upgraded, Ken Murray from Simple Help provides a step by step guide to installing applications using a USB connection.

Along with clear screen shots, Ken talks readers through every stage of installation from a PC to a device. As he rightly says, downloading apps over the air (OTA) is so easy it’s ‘almost automatic’ (and indeed may be an easier place to start for new users), so he concentrates on the more traditional route.

Are you new to S60? Has Ken’s article helped? Are there any other problems you have that he could help with? Head over and let him know.

Please, please do feel free to suggest to Ken other ideas for tutorials. He has some absolutely *fantastic* stuff lined up already (getting into the more advanced aspects), but he’s still doing beginner tutorials too.
