N810 to get mobile Firefox first

October 14th, 2008

John Cox reports on PC Advisor that Firefox is planning to release a mobile version of the browser, and the code is only going to be initially available on the N810.

Codenamed Fennec, the alpha code will give users the chance to test the browser on the ‘innovative touch user interface’ and allow a ‘gruelling workout’ of the feature set. A major goal of releasing the alpha in this way is to see if mobile developers can come up with any funky add-ons, to be rolled out in the full release at a later date.

Will Firefox improve your browsing experience? What kind of add-ons can you envisage? Jump over and let John know what you’d like to see.
