Nokia E66 - An impressive device
October 15th, 2008 at 9:24 am
It seems some people have a lot to say about the E66 – Watfordgap is so impressed with his he has been composing, posting and editing his blog all from his new handset. He is also using it as his MP3 player, map finder and general organiser of his life!
Nico Aguilar at Vertsol is equally impressed with his, comparing it to the greatness of the original N95, claiming ‘the build quality is excellent’. He goes in to extensive detail on the device and lists a number of small improvements you might not pick up at first. There are a couple of features he notes that aren’t so hot like the camera button not actually launching the cam app, but this doesn’t seem to dampen his enthusiasm.
Do you have an E66? What have you been using it for? Delve in to their worlds to read more and let them know your thoughts.

I have recived the device for trial just a couple of days ago and already i’m preety impresed. Firstly i like the slider wich is quite smooth and easy to handle. It’s looks arent so bad but on daily use on sunlight the screen seems to be a little hard to notice. The metal case is great and it looks like quality but it leaves a little fingerprints.
Bun enough with the looks, it’s a great device. Like the big brother E71 it shares Symbian OS 9.2 and it works realy good and fast. I’ve compared with my N95 8gb and it’s a faster. The screen has good resolution and the colors are realy clear. However care has some difficulties taking photos in low light conditions but overall it’s quite ok. The battery life till now it’s impresive and i hope it stays like this. Everyting in the menu it’s at it’s place and easly to find, but it taked jut a little acomodation till you recognize the icons so you fine faster what you are looking for.
The reception is good and also in noisy envoiroment you can hear loud and clear. I foud it having a little problems finding signal when crossing betwen a non covered area to a cover one really quick. It takes 1-2 min to get the signal. However on manual search it has no problem and it findes the operator in matter of seconds.
Overall it’s a impresive device with last minute technology in a realive small package and i’ll tell you more the the end of the trial period.
